In Nigeria, officials have fined e-waste importers $1 million. Earlier this month, officials intercepted a vessel just outside of Lagos that was carrying the banned material, reports AllAfrica [1]. Nigerian law prohibits the carrying, depositing and dumping of harmful waste on any land or territorial waters in the country.
