NewsBitsAgilyx, an Oregon-based alternative energy company that converts difficult-to-recycle plastics into synthetic crude oil, has announced that it has been chosen as one of the companies in the 2011 Global Cleantech 100, a list [1] produced by the U.K.'s Guardian News and Media that recognizes companies focused on green innovation. Proctor & Gamble has released its annual sustainability report [2] which highlights the company's progress toward recently announced environmental goals. P&G says it has completely eliminated PVC from select packaging lines and has begun using bio-based plastic in other products. Universal Fibers, Inc. has filed Patent Application No. 20110257345 which describes a method for separating, cleaning and recycling post-consumer carpet and backing material.
