Michigan-based Cash n Carry Flooring and Carpet Landfill Elimination and Recycling have teamed up to divert used carpet from landfill. Cash n Carry will accept used carpet at its stores from commercial and residential sources, which will then be recycled at CLEAR's facility in western Michigan.

America Recycles Day, which will be held Nov. 15, has announced open registration for local organizers to schedule events. More information is available here [1].

Recent survey findings from Carpet Recycling UK indicate that 74 percent of U.K. residents would pay for the removal of carpet waste by a retailer. The full survey findings are available here [2].

"Repurposed," a new art exhibit at Rice University features the work of two students who use recycled materials and images in their work, reports Ultimate West U [3].

Sage Environmental Services, Inc. of Seattle, Washington in partnership with PorterWorks, Inc. has a created a new documentary [4] based on interviews with recycling industry leaders, policy makers, activists, scientists and others about the future of zero waste. The film predicts big changes for the recycling industry.
