With the roster of companies attaining third-party certifications or audits continuing to grow, E-Scrap News has compiled a round-up of the firms announcing certification this past week.

  • U.S. Micro Corp.'s Dallas, Texas facility is now ISO 9001 certified.
  • IMS Electronic Recycling's facilities in Poway, California; Decatur, Georgia; Columbus, Ohio; and Vancouver, Washington are all certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and R2.
  • AAA Certified Confidential Security Corp. of Peoria, Illinois; Access of Sacramento, California; Blue Sky, Inc. of Louisville, Kentucky; Docu Shred, Inc. of East Grand Forks, Minnesota; First-Shred LLC of Austin, Texas; On-Site Information Destruction Services of Iowa LLC of Waterloo, Iowa; Piranha Paper Shredding LLC of Neenah, Wisconsin; Securis of Chantilly, Virginia; and Shred King of Holbrook, Massachusetts have either achieved or renewed their NAID Certifications for Physical Destruction of Hard Drives.

Announcement: Over the coming weeks and months E-Scrap News will be incorporating OHSAS 18001 and NAID AAA into its certification directory, as well as moving the directory online. If your firm recently completed these certifications, a CHWMEG audit or an ISO 9001, ISO 14001, R2, RIOS or e-Stewards certification, e-mail henry@resource-recycling.com to be included in this section and in E-Scrap News' quarterly directory.
