Certification scorecard

With the roster of companies attaining third-party certifications or audits continuing to grow, E-Scrap News has compiled a round-up of the firms announcing certification this past week.

  • Canon Virginia, Inc. of Newport News, Virginia is the first OEM to successfully become R2 certified. CVI's facilities in the state are also ISO 14001 certified.
  • Richmond Hill, Ontario-based ProMobility, Inc. is certified to both R2 and ISO 14001.
  • Wise Tek Solutions, Ltd. of Cork, Ireland is certified to R2, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • AmeriTex of Houston; Business Data Record Services, Inc. of New Brighton, Minnesota; Certified Document Destruction of Wauseon, Ohio; Cintas Document Management of Kentwood, Michigan; Cintas Document Management of Little Rock, Arkansas; Data Shredding Services of Texas, Inc. III of San Antonio; Goodwill of OC/Landmark Services of Santa Ana, California; Media Services/Shred Time of Kansas City, Missouri; Paper Pig Shredding of Wichita Falls, Texas; Proshred of Houston of Stafford, Texas; Recycling Express of Florence, Kentucky; Safe Harbor Systems Corporation of St. Paul, Minnesota; Securis of Chantilly, Viginia; Shred King of Holbrook, Massachusetts; Shred Works, Inc. of Oakland, California; Texas Security Shredding of Crosby, Texas; The Shred Guy of Houston; and Tri State Shred of Dubuque, Iowa have either achieved or renewed their NAID Certification for Physical Destruction of Hard Drives.
  • Also, Regional Computer Recycling & Recovery of Victor, New York has renewed their NAID Certification for Computer Hard Drive Sanitization and Physical Destruction of Hard Drives.
