PetroChem Wire: Recycled HDPE pellet prices mixed in March

By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling

HDPE frac melt natural dairy pellets were selling at 63-66 cents per pound at the end of March, up 3 cents from February and steady from the middle of the month. HDPE HMW film grade pellet, mixed color, fell by a penny in the second half of March.

End-March business for the MC film grade repro was done at 58 cents per pound. Rising prime polyethylene prices and a 1 cent per pound increase in HDPE natural bale prices kept natural dairy pellet prices firm last month, but rising supply of HDPE film grade pellets slightly weakened that price as March progressed.
